Since 1909, The Parke House has commanded a magnificent view overlooking Colpoy’s Bay.  The village of Colpoy’s Bay, named after British Navy admiral Sir John Colpoys, was settled during the late 1850’s. Both grist and saw mills were established to help the early settlers develop the area. William and Hermione Parke moved into “Hillcrest” as it was known in 1909.  Their daughter Gladys Parke lived in the house until 1995. Since then it has been a B&B.QuaySide Landing is located along the shore of Colpoy’s Bay.

Paul Thomas and Karin van der Heyden Thomas are delighted they have become the new caretakers of the old Parke House, circa 1909. Its tradition as a B&B is long and well established. Join us on this World Biosphere Reserve for your outdoor adventures.

QuaySide Landing really is your “key-side” to the amazing Bruce Peninsula. We are right on the Bruce Trail as it winds its way along the north shore of the bay. A short jaunt across the peninsula is Lake Huron, specifically the Fishing Islands; a kite boarding and kayaking mecca. We are located just north of Wiarton where you can find all your small town needs: shopping, dining, a full service marina, Farmers’ Market and hospital.
